A Model's Dream Come True:
Walking In New York Fashion Week!

My fellow fashionistas! I am so proud to announce that I will be walking in New York Fashion Week this September! I was beyond thrilled when I was approached by Italian Magazine, Uomo Moderno, to model for five different Italian designers in their Fall show.  They were so impressed by what I've been doing in my career as an actress and stylist that they also asked me to participate in a meet-and-greet before the fashion show! I would love to see as many of you there as possible! Click here for more information where you can also buy discounted tickets to the show by using promo code "JamieLee"!

JamieLee's Style Tips

I have always loved fashion. I have never been one to “go with the flow” when it comes to fashion because I believe that fashion is a personal choice and a means of expressing yourself. I have my own personal style, as should everyone!

I really love shopping in small boutiques and vintage stores. You never know what you’re going to find there and I love the classiness and elegance of vintage clothing! I have found some of the most beautifully hand-embroidered dresses in vintage stores that are some of the most gorgeous dresses I’ve ever seen.

My favorite brands include Chanel, Karen Millen, Tori Burch, Prada, Christian Louboutin and Lululemon. I also love shopping at Neiman Marcus, Top Shop and Century 21 (who doesn’t love a good deal?!)

People are constantly asking me for fashion and style advice. If I had to choose my top four fashion rules they would be this:

1. Go with your gut!

Just because your friend likes one particular style doesn’t mean you have to, also. Fashion is all about expressing yourself so don’t feel pressured to adhere to anyone else’s fashion choices!

We all have different bodies, which means there are different cuts and styles that will make us look and feel better. It is very important to dress for your body type. If you’re not sure what yours is or how to dress for your body type, ask an associate at the next store you’re buying clothes at.

2. Bright lips can brighten your whole outfit!

Just because your clothes may be lacking color doesn’t mean your face has to! I love to brighten up my outfits with a beautiful pink lipstick or lip-gloss. It’s also very important to hydrate your lips when wearing lipstick. I recommend wearing chapstick as a base layer, which also keeps your color on longer!

3. Feeling unattractive? Wear heEls!

We all have days where we just don’t feel that we look our best. Something that I have learned helps me feel a little more confidant when I’m having one of those days is slipping on a pair of heels. The way you carry your body when you wear heels is different than when you are wearing flats or sneakers. You are forced to have better posture and nobody can argue about the wonders that heels do for your legs and butt! Find a comfortable pair of heels and have them on standby in your closet for the days when you don’t feel your best.

4. You Don’t Need A Big Budget To Dress Classy

A lot of people believe that you need to have a lot of money to dress classy like the Hollywood stars that they see in magazines. This is not true at all and class and elegance can be achieved at any budget! We all have some features of our body that we like better than others and may want to show off every now and then which is fine when done the right way.  It is very important not to expose too much of yourself and to “leave something to the imagination” as they say. Show your sexy, but don’t show ALL of your sexy! You’re beautiful they way you are, so be yourself and dress in a way that makes YOU feel comfortable and attractive, not in a way that you think others will.
