Bathing suits! YES it's summer:)

Actress with a love for fashion,

I realize that is very little clothing to use for one of my "looks for less" fashion blog, but what would summer be without a bathing suits;) Girls just wanna have FUN!! This shot is from a shoot I modeled this summer in Nantucket it was super exciting getting to play on the beach... really enjoy bathing suit season;)  Loving this two piece suit from "B swim" it's a very light feeling velvet suit it's really fabulous in person! I hope this picture shows how nice it is.

Girls that are blessed with curves:

We all have family members that are a little nervous and stand offish around summer! The dreaded bathing suit season etc, I know there are many beautiful  girls that are all different shapes and sizes. Many of us get all hot and bothered... "What am I going to wear?" I have five words for you! "Love the skin your in" Go in to a nice big department store where you can get lost in many different styles and shapes of suits.. Play around with sarongs and items that will add to you comfort in your beach style. We all have very different body types. So from my experience with family and girlfriends the only way to know if it's going to give you that level of sexy and comfort is to try try and try many styles until you find YOU!

Slim or Athletic girls:

For my body I love a two piece tiny bathing suit:) I also love bathing suits tight shorts and little tops with lots of color and things that will pop on the beach or on my boat etc, but I really have the same advice as I do with girls with curves, Try many suits and figure out what styles make your body look hot! Take chances, take a risk. But the most important thing for me is to feel confident in your suit! You need to feel you own it when your showing off more skin than your use to. My last words "Love the skin your in"

Pointy white, Chic pencil & fun mid drift top

Actress with a love for fashion,

Date night;) this is a outfit I wore out to a fancy fine dining Resturant called "Tempo Dulu" in Portland Maine, if you ever visit Portland please dine here it's wonderful! Check out their site here.. http://www.tempodulu.restaurant really in my element in this look! The reason is that it mixes two elements, the sophistication of my skirt is from one of favorite designers "Ted baker" and a slight bit of sexy with my open back top from "Topshop". My shoe's are very inexpensive they are "6" from DSW! And my earrings are silver leafs from "charming Charlie's"

Girls that are blessed with curves:

Pencil may scare a lot of curves girls, don't be nervous  there are so many ways of making this look to only show off your amazing Marilyn Monroe figure, some would say your shape will steal the show in this look;) I would add a shirt blouse or a top that has a ruffle else or a beautiful  collar and I'd strongly think of adding a chunky stunning belt to really hi-light your waist lime! If you feel comfortable in your own skin and you were blessed with a fabulous bust why not show a little cleavage.

Slim or Athletic girls:

Well I love all types of crop tops to show some skin, because I don't have much of a bust I love open back tops because it gives us girls not working with mush cleavage a chance to feel sexy! I love pencil on slim and athletic figures because I feel it really hugs our body & shows off some hips and butt etc even if you are working with very little hehe.  Of course I live for a pointy pair of pumps, but I'm a shoe girl so it's important to have a nice section of shoes so you have many options .

Nantucket Basket, pink heels & a cute floral frock

Actress with a love for fashion,

As they say.. When in Rome! In my case I'm in Nantucket so I'm wearing a "Nantucket handmade Lightship Basket"  For those of you who don't know the history of Nantucket Baskets they are woven into the fabric of this wonderful island. My basket took 6 months to be made! And that was actually good timing:) this was made by a famous basket maker "Gerald Brown" his site http://www.glbrownnantucketbaskets.com/  he was taught by his father and now he has taught his daughter.  Their are only nine of these basket makers on the island. This basket is very dear to me, because my husband bought this for me while we where on our honeymoon. My girlie cute dress is "Ixia" it was so perfect for a bright summer day in Massachusetts. I just love these pink "Charlotte Olympia" they are kitten heals and they are so cute and so well made!

Girls that are blessed with curves:

I love this shape dress for all figures especially a curvy girl because it really does the upper part of the dress to make you look tiny and the lower skirt part to Cover your hips and your bum, and by doing that around the skirt to flow out like there is Tull  underneath:) I probably would not do kitten heels I it's just really having a heel with some height to a long ate your legs. Evening look -I'd pair it up with a short jacket that ends right above the top of the skirt, and if you can get three-quarter length sleeves that work fab! If you like feminine  Baskets this pocketbook is made for you!

Slim or Athletic girls:

girls, girls, girls... What can I say this is perfect for athletic figures because it gives the illusion of a lot more curvage going on;) I loved wearing kitten heels with it because I felt like I really wanted to be a little girl and the stress. But if I was going out for dinner I may pair it with a cute jacket and a hot pair of high heels  to make it more evening. I love the look of this Nantucket Lightship Basket but they may not be for everybody. After learning the history and seeing all the work that goes into these beautiful baskets I just adore mine!

Simple denim & A pop of color!

Actress with a love for fashion,

I find sometimes less is more.  I love a easy breezy denim shorts jump suit from "Bebe" on a HOT summer day. Of course that it needs to be accessorized up! This number called for a belt to really snatch my waist so I'd feel a little sexy,  right! lol.  I live for a bright handbag, so I paired it with a "Dooney&Bourke" bag in my favorite color pink! My shoes are "Prada" gold and beige kitten heals very classy, with just enough hight in the heel to feel like your going on a night out. My belt is vintage "Channel" and believe it or not this is the most expensive item I'm wearing!!

Girls that are blessed with curves:

This look is all about snatching your waist, If God has blessed you with off a nice boobs why not show off a little cleavage;) and I'd wear higher heels to really elongate your legs.

Athletic girls:

Again this is all about tugging your tight area's to help show off those little hips and chest, I should know this is me;) lol Wearing a tight jump suit might make more sense seen we don't want to get lost in it etc, but you can really rock any shorts jumpsuit with the right belt and the right accessories.

French Sophistication, Meets Skinny Denim!

Happy 4th of July weekend! Summer fashion is in full swing ! I am so excited summer has come around again, it's one of my favorite fashionable seasons of the year! I'm an actress with a great love of fashion! Explore YOUR own creative personal style today!

Fashion has always been a passion of mine. Ever since I was younger, I would scout vintage shops to find unique pieces that would make a statement. Throughout all the endless hours I spent shopping, I learned that you don’t have to spend a fortune on your wardrobe; you can look fabulous on a budget!

My all time favorite stores are those's little hidden gems that you find in your towns and city! I'm a New Yorker so I'm very fortunate to have some amazing stores right here in the east and west village in Manhattan. I have found the best tucked away gems while I'm away on location working for a movie. Nowadays we have the convenience of many affordable stores right in our neighborhoods! The stores that I love where I’ve found amazing fashionable and designer pieces are Marshall's, TJMax, Burlington Coat Factory and DSW. These are just a couple of places that carry designer, yes DESIGNER, fashions at a discounted price! You would never expect to find these normally expensive items at a steal, but you can! That’s why I suggest starting your shopping day at these discounted stores so you won’t end up spending a lot on something that you can get for a great price in  other stores I recommend are Century 21, Zara and Forever 21!

It’s so important when deciding whether or not to buy an item to see if you can get the most bang for your buck. If you find a gorgeous dress, but can only wear it to a formal event that you go to twice a year, obviously you wouldn’t get much use out of it. Finding versatile pieces that you can pair with many different styles of clothes is important when shopping on a budget! You want to look and feel like a rock star every day, not just on occasion!

I am really digging this French elegant bodice top, and pairing it with a simple pair of blue high waist jeans really makes it more functional for a city girl like me. Nude color pair of pointy heels and a cute bag and I'm really to take of any day or night.

What I love about a bodice is the fact that you can pull your waist in really tight with those strings at the back Your waist will be the tiniest for your own body size, and I have to tell you there is nothing nicer than feel every thin holding you in for the night. lol no effort! No holding in tummy etc, it's half the battle! I always say having one pair of jeans that fit you right is all you ever need, right? In fact if you find the perfect pair try to buy two pairs just in case they stop selling them... Yes this did happen to be before and it's fun! Finish your look with a killer pair of shoes! And of course some Jewels if needed.

I like to test myself and be a little daring, but that’s what fashion is all about! If you like something and it’s your style, rock it! Remember there is only one of you, your unique!! so wear it with all your confidence. Have fun with your fashion. It is such a great form of self-expression!

Tips for Curvy Girls

Rock your Curves! Choose a form fitting, High waist jeans so the waist band hits your right on your skinniest point of your waist. if you are feeling sexy why not show a little belly button!

Just love a bodice top on a curvy figure because you have the hips and the boobs that really make the waist look tight and right.

Nothing like a hot pair of high heels to elongate your legs and pull the hole outfit together!

Tips for Athletic Girls

We are not working with as much curves so it's important to show off what we do have etc, so if it's little hips show them off.. Or if it's nice boobs don't be afraid it wear low cut tops to show off your famine assets! There are always ways to keep it tasteful

Athletic girls, pull those strings nice and tight you bodice should fit you tight! Your goal is to show of your widest points so having a super tight bodice is important.

Jeans  - you have the pick - of the little high waist, low waist what ever you wish! I'd stick with skinny jeans though for this French city girl look, it's just more classy!

This French classy bodice was bought in a lingerie store in Connecticut.
