Lady Liberty, Love and Liberation

This week marked some very special milestones in my life. This week was both the anniversary of me moving to The United States and also the anniversary of meeting the man who I now call my husband! As fate would have it, both anniversaries are on the same exact day: June 16th! After the incredible journey I’ve had, I can say for certain that I really believe that everything in life happens for a reason at the exact moment that it’s supposed to.

The Road to Becoming My Character, “Elsa Sharpless” Part II

In last week’s blog I told you all about my process of learning all there was to know about my most recently filmed role as “Elsa Sharpless” in the “film-noir” thriller, “Day for Night.” In this week’s second installment of the blog I’m going to tell you all about my and Elsa’s experience on set. After knowing Elsa so well from the intricate backstory I created, the research I had done and my other methods like sometimes living my life as her, I was so excited to bring her to life once and for all on the movie set! After months of preparation and hard work, Elsa was ready to take on Hollywood at full force!

The Road To Becoming My Character, “Elsa Sharpless” - Part I

One of my favorite parts about being offered a new movie role is really digging into my characters and learning all that I can about them! Being an actress is so much more than memorizing lines, it’s about getting to know your character so thoroughly that you can really become them inside and out to the point where you almost lose yourself to them. For this week’s blog, as I find myself enthralled with work on my upcoming acting roles, I thought it would be fun to share my process of how I really become the characters that I am blessed enough to portray in the feature films I am a part of! One of these characters is the incredibly dynamic (and very intimidating!), Elsa Sharpless!
