When In Rome... Work Like The Romans!

If you follow me on social media or have seen the travel page on my website then you may notice that I travel… a lot! Whether it’s spending time in my condo in Florida, heading to some exciting location on my yacht, going back to Europe to visit my family or being on set for a movie or photo shoot, I am always on the move! While all of this traveling makes for a fun and exciting life that I am incredibly blessed to have, I am always working no matter where in the world I am!

Being an actress has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. Now that my acting career is really starting to grow, I am more committed than ever to working hard to evolve my art! Whether I am reading through potential scripts, learning all there is to know about the characters I’ll be portraying or watching films and taking notes, I am always doing something to better myself.

By traveling so much I have learned to be creative with how I can work in various environments! When I am on an airplane I find this is a good time to work on memorizing my lines! When I am traveling on my yacht, I work on the diction and tones of my already-memorized lines (this way I don’t have to worry about reading and getting sea sick!). No matter where in the world I am you will find me with a notebook! I love writing down ideas and inspirations and taking notes on anything I can think of that can help me to build my characters!

As an actress, I am a part of a team. While the team I am on may change from project to project, I always have other people relying on me to do my part to the best of my ability. This is something that I take very seriously! Being part of a team means that you have a responsibility to the greater good of the team. In my case, this means putting in a tremendous amount of time and effort to really understand my characters and their decisions. There is a reason behind every line and gesture, and it is my role on the team to bring truth to each line and movement I perform so that my cast-mates and the audience believe me in my performance. Luckily for me, I can work on this art from wherever I am in the world!

While it may not seem like it, there are ways that you, too, can work for the betterment of your teams from outside your workplace! For example, if you’re on a marketing team, take some time to research new marketing trends or read an industry magazine! The better you are in your role, the better your team will be as a whole!

No matter where I am in the world, you can be sure that I am always working. I take great pride in my performances and my contributions to all of the teams that I am a part of! I encourage all of you to find a job that you have a similar passion for and dedication to! As the saying goes, “when you find something to do that you love, you’ll never work a day in your life!” I can tell you firsthand that when you do find this career like I have, you will always look forward to working and you’ll spend as much time as you can setting yourself up for success as best you can! I wish you all a life of happiness and passion in whatever you choose to do! XO
