With all the hustle and bustle of life, who has time to pick out a fabulous outfit every single day of the week! Skirts are an easy go to outfit because the only other pieces you need is a top and a cute pair of heels! Skirts are perfect for the warm spring and summer months, so let’s all emerge in skirts!

There are many types of skirts that are trending for the spring and summer. But how do you know which ones to choose with so much variety? You can start off by choosing whether longer skirts or shorter skirts are more your style. With the warmer months ahead, short skirts are perfect to embrace the gorgeous weather. Long maxi skirts are also a fashion trend so you really cannot go wrong! Embrace your skirt style!

Types of Skirts:

A-Line Skirts: An A-line skirt is small at the waist and widens as it reaches toward the ground. They can come in knee length, calf length, or ankle length.

Bubble Skirts: Bubble skirts usually have a fitted elastic waistline and are scrunched up at the hem, making the skirt look baggy. This is a very playful look and are usually always above the knee. This skirt is perfect for the spring and summer!

Flared Skirts: Flared Skirts are very similar to an A-line skirt; however, it flares out at the bottom. This look can be a semi-dressy look, dressy or formal depending on which fabric is used. Flared skirts can be calf length, knee length, or above the knees.

Mini Skirts: Mini Skirts are very short! This look is perfect for the warmer months, but usually inappropriate for the colder months!

Body Types

Bottom Heavy

Skirts flatter this figure better than pants! Tapered skirts such as an A-line skirt are your best skirt. Avoid any skirt that is tight around your bottom.

Curvy Figure

Curvy figures can rock any skirt! Tighter skirt that show off your body is the perfect choice for you!

Flat Bottom

Tighter skirts give women with a flatter bottom the appearance of a larger bottom. Avoid skirts like the A-line because it will make your bottom look flatter!

Larger Stomach

Women with larger mid-sections should choose skirts with no waistbands! Avoid anything tight around the waistline!

Non-Curvy

Ladies without curves can create curves themselves by choosing skirts that are shorter and fuller. Any skirt that adds volume to your bottom half of your body works for you! Try a bubble skirt, you will look fabulous!

Short

Shorter women should avoid wearing skirts that are past knee length. Slightly tapered skirts will give you the appearance of height!

Tall

Calf length or knee length skirts work best for you because it will give proportion to your long legs!

Top Heavy

Top heavy women and non-curvy women should followthe same rules! Ladies who are top heavy should add volume to the lower half to create a balanced appearance.
