Spring into Sundresses!

Spring is the perfect time of year for sundresses! These dresses come in many different styles and prints and is a universal look for every figure type! This classic dress style is going to be your favorite pick of the season!

The sundress was popularized in the 1960s by designer Lily Pulitzer. Her designs were jumper style dresses that were sheer enough to allow sunlight to pass through to the skin. These dresses offered ample skin coverage that were made from lightweight comfortable fabrics such as cotton. With a dress that offered style, comfort and flexibility, these then became a staple to women’s summer wardrobes. The sundress now can be found in many different lengths, from long casual gowns to sundress halter dresses with a flare. With a plethora of prints with artsy designs, this classic dress style will always be in fashion!

I absolutely loved this sundress that I wore during this photo-shoot. I felt very Old Hollywood elegance in this; classy and sophisticated. The great part about sundresses is that every woman, no matter what size or shape, can rock one! Sundresses were originally designed to be a looser fitted dress, however, over the years they have been revived into closer fitting looks. Like the one I am wearing, this is an A-line skirt with a fitted top. I think the simplicity of the white top with the abstract design on the skirt, is a great look for the warmer weather! It also looks very high fashion! If simplicity is not your look, sundresses come in so many cool colors and prints that you can find the one perfect for you!

Tips for Curvy Girls

A sundress with an A-line skirt is very flattering for you!

Add accessories to your sundress such as a cute pair of sunglasses, high-heels or a fun headpiece!

 Tips for Athletic Girls

Try a halter or spaghetti strap sundress to show off your toned arms!

Sundresses with a fuller skirt can give the look of more curves!

Seek out neutral color sundresses such as peach, pink, white or beige. These shades are the perfect compliment to sun-kissed skin!
