Fall Is Here! (And So Are My Acting/Voice Lessons!)

Between the beautiful changing foliage, Pumpkin Spice Everything and houses preparing for the inevitable army of trick-or-treating Elsas, Annas and Olafs, there is no doubt that Fall is upon us! While this is no doubt one of my favorite times of the year because of the traditional reasons, I am also thrilled to be taking my acting career to the next level this month!

From my early years as a child in Europe, I have always had a passion for performing. I used to act in school plays and my life revolved around dancing and taking dance classes. I even competed in some of Ireland’s most celebrated dance competitions! But, as we all know, sometimes life gets in the way and we aren’t always able to do the things we love. That is why I am so excited to finally have the time and opportunity to chase my dreams and continue performing!

This month I will be starting my voice lessons with one of Long Island’s most elite voice coaches. After auditioning for a musical on a whim, I realized that I could have a better singing voice if I knew how to use it the “right” way. After lots of research and a very in-depth conversation with the coach, I have a very good feeling that my voice is going to get a butt kicking!

This week (EEK!) I am also beginning private acting/audition lessons with the tremendously accomplished Barbara Abel. I will be traveling to her office in Brooklyn to learn how to better tackle my auditions and make a lasting impression on the producers.

I encourage everyone to chase your dreams, no matter what your age or training. It’s a new season and a brand new year if you’re Jewish, so what better time to turn over a new, fall leaf? Make like a tree and shed the negativity in your life and use this fall and winter to emerge as a brand new you in the spring, following your dreams! Accompany me on my journey by subscribing to my blog and following my social media pages!
