My Ultimate Dream: The Golden Globes

Before the Big Night:

What do the Golden Globes mean to me? Yes, it’s a night of unbelievable recognitions for Hollywood’s bests, and of course best dressed, LOL, but it is so much more than an award ceremony to aspiring artists viewing the event. The Golden Globes marks prestige; attending this event is the ultimate honor, as it recognizes actors, actresses, writers and production teams for their amazing work, and the impact their commitment and talent has made on the industry.

Attending this event is a dream, and as I sit here anxiously awaiting the start of the show, my heart is racing with excitement. I am so determined to take-on more emotionally dimensional roles, and seeing fellow actors and actresses chasing and capturing their dreams is so unexplainable inspiring! Seeing all they’ve accomplished, and the hard work they have poured into creating memorable characters makes me more confident than ever that I am on the right path to success and that if I remain dedicated, nothing can stand in my way.

On a personal level, I can’t help but feel such a connection to Saoirse Ronan, the star of the heartwarming film Brooklyn, for we are cut from the same cloth; two Irish girls defying the odds and taking on our Hollywood dreams. As a young girl growing up in Ireland, I would have never expected to have accomplished what I have in my career today, and seeing Saoirse make her mark on Hollywood as a young Irish girl is not only touching, but so motivating. My fingers are crossed for her tonight, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. She is so remarkably talented!

I am on the edge of my seat today, waiting to see all that will unravel at the Golden Globes tonight. I can’t wait to see all of the gorgeous outfits, and hear the humbling speeches of all the winners. I Can’t wait!!

After the Big Night:

Wow, what a night! I don’t even know where to begin. As an avid fashionista, you know I believe in all things fabulous and fierce, and I was so blown away by some of the style choices after tonight's event. Though Saoirse Ronan sadly didn't win her category, she was still glowing and looked absolutely stunning! Her dress was so classy and timeless, and really reflected her natural beauty inside and out.

Corinne Foxx stole the stage as Miss Golden Globe, to say the least. She was so delicate and poised and her dress flowed beautifully. I was blown away by so many amazing choices, like Amy Adams and Lady Gaga, for example, who made such statements. Let’s not forget about the men at this event; talk about sweeping a girl off her feet! Eddie Redmayne looked so dapper, and I was already a fan after his incredible performance in The Danish Girl!

Fashion aside, the award ceremony itself was so touching, and even tear jerking at points. Leonardo DiCaprio fully deserved to win Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture for his performance in The Revenant. He sets such a high standard of excellence, and somehow manages to blow his audience away, time and time again through his performances. I was also so excited for Taraji Henson, who won Best Actress in a Drama TV Series, for her role as Cookie. Empire is such an amazing show and I am so captivated by its plot twists.

I am feeling such a rush of emotions after tonight’s show. Not only have I been so touched, but I am more inspired than ever. As I’ve said, 2016 is truly a year for courage, and I can’t wait to chase new opportunity and land new exciting roles. Stay tuned for all that’s ahead!
