So Much To Be Thankful For!

As the holiday season commences with Thanksgiving this week, I want to take this opportunity to reflect and share everything that I am so lucky and thankful for this year. This is truly the time to appreciate the life you have and all of the blessings that you may overlook normally such as your health, your family, the fact that you’re employed and the friendships that you have. We have a tendency to think that “the grass is always greener” when realistically every person has their own personal battles that they fight that we don’t know about.

This year I have a lot to be thankful for. I just returned from an amazing trip back to Ireland where I got to spend wonderful quality time with my family who I hadn’t seen in many years. It reminded me how lucky I am to have their continued support, even from a continent away, as I really chase my dream of becoming an actress. Getting to reconnect with them in person as opposed to on a computer or tablet screen was such a luxury and something that I realized that I took for granted when I used to see them every day.

I am thankful today and everyday for my husband and his unconditional love and support while I chase my dreams. Needless to say, pursuing a career in acting is a lot of work and a lot of pressure and he has been my rock through all of it reminding me of how talented I am. He constantly reminds me of how much he loves me and he makes me feel so safe and supported which is something I am truly lucky to have.

This year has been such a big year for my career and I am so thankful to have had the opportunities that I’ve had. I have trained with some of the best acting, singing and dancing coaches in the world and have even booked my first movie role! It required a lot of hard work but I am so thankful that my hard work has led me to such an exciting year.

I encourage everyone to take this time to really reflect on your life and how blessed you are for what you already have. We all have the ability to chase our dreams, though some people overlook this. Nobody can make you chase your dreams and live your passions except for you. While we should be happy and thankful for what we already have, aim to make next year the year where you’re thankful that you began to chase your dreams.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and that your family, friends and a whole lot of turkey and stuffing surround you! XO
